Annotating Pre-Labeled Data

Use pre-labeling when you want to export data, add predictions externally, then import them back for refinement — or when Config/Bulk Annotate are not available for the data type.

Approaches​

  1. Export partially labeled data from Annolive, train or run inference elsewhere, then import predictions in the same format.
  2. Import a pre-labeled dataset into a task that uses the same underlying data and continue labeling on top.

Predictions must match Annolive’s annotation export format. Use an existing export as a template.

Export and import for pre-labeling​

  1. Open the task → Auto Annotate.
  2. Select Pre-labeling in the sidebar.

  1. Export data for pre-labeling.
  2. Generate inference in the same format as the export.
  3. Import the file back into Annolive.
  4. Open the annotation playground to refine labels.
